“A $3.5 million building for Southwest Tennessee Community College’s Industrial Readiness Training Program got a big boost from a federal grant that was announced last week. Southwest received a $900,000 federal from the U.S. Commerce Department’s Economic Development Administration that will go towards a capital campaign for the building. The tentative start date for construction is Summer 2016. “Memphis-based Visible Music Collegeplans to open a third branch to go along with its locations in Chicago and Memphis.
