“The CEO of GLO Airlines spoke to the need for direct flights between Memphis and New Orleans due to the two cities’ tourist and business synergies.
Trey Fayard, CEO of GLO Airlines, said after researching the market, the company found the lack of direct flights connecting Memphis and New Orleans is hurting each city’s business community.
“There’s a lot of correlation. There’re a lot of similarities between the two places,” he said. “There’re a lot of people in New Orleans that do business in Memphis and vice versa.”
“We see Memphis as one of those cities where we can grow,” Fayard said. “It’s not our intention to just have one flight from Memphis to New Orleans. We see Memphis as a place we can grow organically.”
