MBJ: Lipscomb Pitts Breakfast Club to change name, branding

After 11 years as the Lipscomb Pitts Breakfast Club, the organization is rebranding as cityCURRENT.

The new name is meant to emphasize the growth the organization has achieved, going from a small group of companies hosting networking events to the philanthropic partnership it has evolved into.

The organization currently has more than 75 corporate partners and hosts more than 150 free events annually.

The Lipscomb Pitts Breakfast Club was originally established as a simple networking organization that hosted 12 to 15 events a year. Its event schedule has grown to include workshops and seminars, a variety of lunch programs, receptions, a golf scramble, tennis and social mixers — as well as its exclusive Signature Breakfast series featuring prominent national guest speakers.
