The first time I spoke with University of Memphis computer science professor Ernest McCracken, the brains behind Memphis Game Developers (MGD), his team of indie programmers was building Fallen Space, an open-world alien survival game. Dr. Subhash Chauhan, a professor in the UTHSC Colleges of Pharmacy and Medicine, will use the funding to develop nanotherapeutic options to combat pancreatic cancer.
