MBJ: Memphis airport to become international again
Memphis air travelers will have a new international flight to choose from this summer.
Air Canada is returning to the Memphis market with a nonstop flight to Toronto Pearson International Airport. The airline operated in Memphis between 2010 and 2012. This new flight will be the first international flight at MEM since 2012.
“We are thrilled to welcome back Air Canada and are excited to return daily international service to our passengers,” said Pace Cooper, chairman of the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) board of commissioners. “This route is more than a connection between Memphis and Toronto – it opens up many, many international connections for Memphis travelers, as well.”
The new flight will begin on May 1, 2017, and use a 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200 for the route.
