MBJ: Local medical device co. brought to feet with FDA approval
A Memphis company is getting off on the right foot with two new medical devices.
In2Bones Global Inc. announced Tuesday, Aug. 8, that the U.S. Food and Drug Adminstration has approved a foot fracture and correction system that will be marketed under the 5MS Fracture Repair System and the CoLag Locking Compression Screw System brand names.
Last August, In2Bones USA LLC and France’s In2Bones SAS merged to form In2Bones Global, a corporation headquartered in Memphis. Since the merger, and in addition to these two new systems, the company has launched several innovative products.
“At In2Bones, our goal is to advance the science of extremity surgery,” said Alan Taylor, president and CEO of In2Bones Global, in a release. “Our development pipeline is robust and will provide growth opportunities for us around the world.”
